The Personality Test is a tool that allows the Psychologist or evaluator to examine the psychological and personality traits of a person, we will understand then that personality is a concept that is used very frequently and that it serves to describe the characteristics of a person , the way of being that an individual has.
Personality tests are used in different areas: in clinical psychology, in job selection processes, in orientation evaluations, in educational psychology, legal psychology, etc. If we are talking about occupational psychology, these tests will be a type of test that can be administered to all types of professional profiles, because as we have said, we will be evaluating the characteristics of a person.
What is a Personality Test for ?:
Currently personality tests are very frequently used by job recruiters, they are used to administer them to most applicants and for almost all jobs. While the job interview assesses your manifest behavior, the personality tests aim at the deepest level, to discover those areas that you may not know yourself, providing the evaluators with a more global profile of your personality.
A Personality Test in Occupational Psychology will combine your profile or personality characteristics with the profile required for the job. It will be like a kind of filter in the search for the ideal candidate. For example, if you are competing for the CNP, your personality test together with a personal interview and your biodata will help the interviewer to be able to define whether your personality characteristics match the characteristics that a good police officer should have.
What does a Personality Test measure?
To get to know the characteristics of an individual, each personality test will measure certain traits . A trait will be a scientific concept or construct that summarizes the behaviors that individuals perform in different situations and allows describing people and predicting their behavior
Thus, in a Personality Test the same trait can be named differently depending on the test, since there are different models. The 5 most common features that are handled in this type of Test are:

The questions in these tests can be organized in multiple ways and on different scales, from questions with two answer options: true / false, to questions with a scale that ranges from very frequent to never. Can I / should I prepare a Personnel Test in a job selection?
The answer is Yes, you can have some preparation for these tests. Your personality characteristics cannot be varied or changed because a lot of sincerity is required in the answers, but you can be attentive to certain points that we will now comment on.
Normally the coaches will tell you not to worry about the Personality test and that you cannot train for them. To a large extent it is true, because it is a test that in one way or another will bring out your personal characteristics and you must be very sincere when answering. - To be honest.
- Be brave. For example, if you are afraid of some animals, look for a brave response and not the most negative or fearful tendency.
